Huntly’s youth development side have signed fifteen players ahead of their 2021/22 season starting.

There were two departures from last season’s squad with goalkeeper Cameron Middleton leaving to join Montrose’s youth squad while forward Zander Zvegintzov who had an impressive scoring run in friendlies over the last year has chosen to focus on his studies.

Ross Craig, Alex Davidson, Dillon Farquhar (captain, pictured), Dylan McFadyen, Owen Morris, Ewan Skinner, Connor Stuart and Ethan Walker have all re-signed for the new season. A number of those players have already featured for the under 21's squad when the season started earlier this morning.

There are seven new additions to the squad with six of those players signing after responding to the open trials the club ran over the summer.
They are – Aidan Cruickshank, Kyle Duncan, Shay Hatch, Greg Masson, Callum Midwood, George Ritchie and Rory Shanks.

Speaking on his latest recruits, Youth Team Manager Iain Ralston said: “I’m delighted that so many of the players have re-signed especially after the last year, where a lot of teams have seen players drift away from football.

It’s great that the league is starting back this season and hopefully the boys can get back to enjoying football.

It’s also great to welcome some new additions to the squad for the upcoming season especially as the club is working hard to show that there is a development pathway for players.”
