Huntly FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Brian Wright as their new Head of Youth Development.

Brian (left) will also be assisted by long term colleague and business partner, Kris Faulkner of whom they own coaching company Caledonia Sports Coaching.

Brian, alongside Kris, has over thirty years of coaching experience, both in the UK and Netherlands, holding various roles at clubs such as Aberdeen FC, Buckie Thistle and Rothes. Brian will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a player development pathway/curriculum from youth structure to first team squad and will work closely in conjunction to current youth coaches Iain Ralston and Sammy McFadyen in the process.

Manager, Allan Hale said “Appointing a Head of Youth was something that I had earmarked quickly upon being appointed and Brian was always Stefan and I’s number one target for the role therefore we are delighted he has agreed to the position following very positive discussions. I look forward to working closely with both Brian & Kris to create a youth curriculum that aligns the youth pathway to the first team, allowing our youth players the best possible opportunity to become first team players at the club. I am also pleased to welcome Kris as our U21s coach and look forward to working with him throughout his time at the club.”

Brian Wright was pleased to join the club and added: “I am delighted to have been approached and offered the position of Head of Youth Development at Huntly Football Club. I am looking forward to working with Allan, Stefan and the existing youth coaches at the club whilst implementing a Player Development Pathway from youth structure all the way through to the first team.”
