Huntly recorded an impressive 7-1 victory over Fraserburgh in tonight’s Aberdeenshire League fixture with both sides featuring a number of first team players. Richie TaylorWith twelve minutes gone, a good run by Peter-Alexander Bruce saw the striker play low across the box into Richie Taylor who scored from close range.


On seventeen minutes, a Ross McKenzie corner from the left flank was not dealt with by keeper Joe Barbour and when the ball came loose, Peter-Alexander BrucePeter-Alexander Bruce was quickest to react firing high into the net.

The same two players combined again ten minutes later when Ross McKenzie burst down the left wing and sent in for Peter-Alexander Bruce to net at the front post.


On the stroke of half-time, Adam NaismithAdam Naismith played a free kick short into Richie Taylor’s feet and when Taylor returned the ball for Naismith he curled a great shot into the far post.

Four minutes after the break, David Angus played the ball out of defence and when Russell Guild received a return pass from Peter-Alexander Bruce he gave Barbour no chance with a left-footed strike.


The Broch pulled one back on 58 minutes when sub Dane Ballard got in to good position to finish after the home defence were caught napping.

The black and gold’s extended their lead on 73 minutes when Paul Young took a touch before firing low into the bottom corner before Myles BrownhillMyles Brownhill wrapped up a fine win heading in with twelve minutes to go.
