The way the league is shaping up right now is really exciting and it is time for us to build on the win at Fort William. It wasn’t the greatest performance from ourselves but we showed some character to make sure we got the three points. It is very tight at the top of the table and a run of results could see a couple of teams pull away from the pack.

There is no better example to us of what can be achieved than what Forres done last season. Obviously I am biased but I think we have a squad that is at least as talented as theirs but they have a league trophy to show for it and that is something we have to try to emulate.…

What a crazy two derbies they were! Undoubtedly there are issues defensively from the last two games which we have to figure out but I am delighted that we managed to turn everything around when the situation was looking pretty grim at 4 nil down last Saturday. Dan, Jason and Paul had a huge impact for us. It’s just a shame Jason never got his hat trick to cap it all off. Although he was talking about getting a Scotland call up after his double so it’s maybe just as well the linesman put his flag up.

What a great couple of weeks it’s been.

Between the Scottish cup trip, the rout of Strathspey and the victory in Banff topped off by Guildy’s testimonial dance, the boys are absolutely flying just now. Training has been really competitive all week so we are in a good position going into a tough match against what is fast become our bogey team.…

It’s back to league business this weekend as we welcome Strathspey Thistle after a great Scottish Cup trip last weekend which allowed the boys to demonstrate a bit of character and bus trips home like that help to bring us closer together as a team. It was good to see some of the fans make the trip and it is a good reward for them and the club as a whole to have a derby to look forward to in the next round.

The Scottish Cup first round is always a big occasion but when you put Rangers in the second round hat, it makes the tie with Wigtown massively important.

The defeat to Clach was very frustrating as we dug ourselves into a hole which proved too big to get out off. However, it has still been a very promising start to the season with everything still to play for including a double header to come against Formartine which means a lot to the club for a variety of reasons. Therefore, with these big games arriving thick and fast it is important that we stick together as a squad and stay positive and keep the buzz that is around the team at the moment.…
