I think its safe to say we are all desperate for the game to get the go ahead on Saturday.

In my last article, I stated that we must turn up against Formartine and we ended up facing the nightmare scenario where literally half the squad didn’t turn up because of illness. That said, no team should be three down inside eleven minutes and I think it exposed a naivety about us which has appeared in flashes this season.

Tomorrow is a day that we simply must turn up. Our recent record against Formartine has been much like our recent form in general which has been unacceptable. It is a strange atmosphere in the dressing room in that while we are frustrated with the way that results have gone there is still a good bond between the boys and we want to do well for each other. However that will count for nothing unless we are putting points on the board at 4.45 today.

Three defeats in a row with no goals scored doesn’t make very good reading but the last two performances have been very positive.


As a team we felt hard done by to have not got any points from the home match against Buckie and had a point to prove against Brora. We put in a massive shift up there and felt robbed as Barney was clearly tripped and before we knew it we were a man and a goal down. However that is football and it is a fast learning curve for us but we will not be faulted for effort.
