We welcome Fraserburgh to Christie Park for the start of a new season.

Despite some mixed pre-season results and performances, we are where we wanted to be in that we have regained match fitness which is the goal from the outset. We now get to put the running and heavier fitness work behind us as we look to make a bright start to the new season.

A number of people have written us off already but that doesn’t reduce the excitement a new season brings with a clean slate and everything to play for. In fact, it gives us an added incentive to go out and achieve this year.

While we faded in and out last season, we have been together a year now and there are no excuses in that now it is time for us to start performing consistently. The front two coming in gives us a different option up front and I am tipping the goals to flow from Andrzej on the back of that partnership.

Fraserburgh is a tough opener as they will battle for the points as they always do. I have never been a part of a side which has had an easy win against them so we know what we are up against. However, we have quite a good recent record against them and have nothing to fear so we will be hoping to start the new season with a strong performance and for the points to follow.
