Huntly continue their summer squad rebuilding process with a further two additions coming in today from junior club Banks O’ Dee on two year contracts.

Defender Neale Allan (left) who can also play in midfield started out with Deveronvale in 2006 where he worked with current Huntly Manager Gregg Carrol. In 2007/08 he went out on loan to Hillhead before making that move permanent. During his time with Hillhead he made a friendly appearance for Huntly under John Teasdale in a pre-season match with Banchory St Ternan back in July 2010.

From there the 27 year old was transferred to Banks O’ Dee in March 2011 and most recently he featured as a trialist in Huntly’s 3-2 defeat to Inverurie Loco Works back in February.

Following Allan to Christie Park Sean Croll. Croll (28) who also plays in defence spent a season in the amateur ranks with United Services Glendale XI before his move to Banks O’ Dee in 2010/11. Sean then moved on to Stonehaven for two seasons before returning to Banks O’ Dee in 2013.

Speaking on his two new additions, Manager Gregg Carrol said: “Sean has been playing in central defence with Banks O’ Dee for a number of seasons and is a good talker and organiser on the pitch which is something we missed at times last season and he’ll help strengthen the defensive options at the club which is something we had to do after conceding the amount of goals we did last season.

Neale Allan is player I know well from Deveronvale and he’s been a player we’ve been chasing for a while now. He played well against Locos last season and can do a job for us in a number of positions in both defence and midfield and he’s a good passer of the ball going forward.”
