There has been some movement out of the club.

Paul Esslemont has been transferred to Banchory St. Ternan.

Esslemont (23) had a spell with the junior side earlier this season as well as a short term loan with Bridge of Don Thistle.

The forward who signed from Dyce in May 2019 scored 3 goals in 41 squad appearances during his time at Huntly.

Speaking on the transfer, Huntly Manager Allan Hale said: “Since our arrival Paul has been very unfortunate having suffered a serious injury that kept him out for a large period. As such it’s been difficult for Paul to establish himself within the side as we tried to get him regular game time on loan which had been stop start.

With the arrivals of recent signings, we felt we had to be fair to Paul and allow him to find a new club in order to get him the regular game time he requires in order to rediscover his full fitness and form.

He has been a pleasure to work with and has been a real popular member of the dressing room therefore his presence will be missed. He is a natural goalscorer and once he gets back to the level he is capable of then I’m sure we will see him back in the Highland League. We wish him well on his move to Banchory and thank him for his efforts during his period with the club.”
