Euan Storrier is the latest Huntly player to sign a new contract with the club.

The goalkeeper who had two loan spells from Forres Mechanics before signing permanently in March 2020 has signed a new contract extension until summer 2025. Euan (22) has made 90 squad appearances for the club since debuting in August 2018.

Former player of the year, Storrier was pleased to commit long term.

He said: “Allan (Hale) spoke to me a couple of weeks back to get me signed up long term so it was something I was happy to commit to.

His vision for the club is clear for all to see, we’re going in a good direction. He’s building a good, young squad and we’re only going to improve and get better with the more experience we get.”

Speaking on his player committing long term, Manager Allan Hale said: “Euan has obviously been frustrated of late with Tom (Ritchie) coming in but internally everyone understands that as does Euan.

Euan is a fantastic young goalkeeper who is continually improving and he’s someone we’ve got a lot of belief and confidence in.

I’m delighted that he sees his long term future here and he'll establish himself back here as the number one”.

Chairman Gordon Carter added: “We are delighted Euan has signed a new contract. He is an excellent young keeper.

He  has further to travel than most  of our squad to training and games but has committed himself 100 % to being part of what Allan Stefan and Wayne are building.”
