Midfielder Tom Andrews got the nod from his fellow team mates for the young player of the year trophy as the player was happy with his own performances in his first full season at the club.

“It’s a great achievement for me progressing on from the under 20s and I’m always looking to improve as a player and that’ll be the same going into next season. Going on loan to Lewis United in 2016/17 really helped me strengthen up and adapt to the adult game after playing juveniles.”

The 18 year old admits that having a number of younger players going into the first team at the same time has helped the step up.

“It just shows how much we’ve came on as players, winning the Aberdeenshire league was a big bonus for us and hopefully we can now build on that with the first team.  Andy Roddie and Tommy Wilson gave me the opportunity at the start of this past season allowing playing in midfield and trying to control the game and I appreciate the confidence they showed in me.”
