Huntly midfielder Ross Still was pleased to finally make his competitive debut for the club. The former Inverurie Loco Works and Keith player was injured during pre-season and then started the season with a two game suspension but after coming off the bench in Saturday’s 2-1 win over his former side Keith he admitted it’s good to be back playing.

“It’s taken a myself a while to get back fit but I’m feeling a lot better now, I’m still not one hundred percent but it was good to get back playing against one of my former clubs. I spent a loan spell with Keith a couple of years ago. It was a good win and a really good mood about the dressing room afterwards after our second straight win.”

Still (21) now knows he’ll have to work hard to force a start with a lot of competition for midfield places.

“We’ve another game coming up on Wednesday against Formartine so I’ll have to see how I’m feeling but myself and other midfielders know we’ll have to work hard to get those places in central midfield.”
