Welcome to everyone connected with Rothes for what is our only home fixture of the month.

Last time out against Rothes was a game we should’ve killed off early, we had well over twenty goal attempts, stuck the woodwork twice and had a perfectly good goal ruled out. It was a late winner from Marek Mádle that day but you have to take your chances when you’re on top and had the majority of possession but Rothes did cause us some problems going forward so we’ll have to be wary of them as they can score goals as they showed against the likes of Strathspey, Keith and Fort William recently.…

It’s been while since we’ve had a win away to Turriff United. We’ve not won at The Haughs since they first came into the league back in 2009/10 but if we can show the same attitude and effort we did against Deveronvale and give a bit of fight and dig we won’t go wrong.

It was disappointing to draw last week and a win would’ve been great. The penalty was a soft one and Grant Campbell apologised but I said to him it looked like he didn’t touch the player and Craig Simpson was going down before Grant went near him but you see that a lot in football nowadays where players will go down with little or no contact.…

Derby matches are coming thick and fast it was good to get the Keith games out of the road and pick up six points compared to last season where we went away empty handed. After a festive double header with Keith we now look forward to welcoming Inverurie Loco Works tomorrow.

Playing teams back to back can sometimes give you an idea of what to possibly expect the following week. Keith will know about us already as Graham McBeath previously mentioned he had us watched this season already when he was doing some scouting for Formartine United.

We go to Fort William tomorrow forced into reshuffling the team once again with Grant Campbell the latest absentee through suspension. Every Friday I seem to be doing jigsaws trying to piece a team together following call-offs and injuries and other selection issues.

We’ll have David Booth back for the game as he’s now freed up from his suspension and he’ll give us another option going forward.…
