Last week was disappointing to score three goals away from home, have our goalkeeper pull off a great stop from a penalty and still come out on the losing side.

We now make the long trip to Hawick looking for our first away win of the season. I played (and even scored!) the last time we faced Hawick Royal Albert six years ago and we know we’ll be in for a tough game after a long journey.…

The Aberdeenshire Cup tie with Banks O’ Dee is a huge game for us and whoever wins gets through to the semi-finals and the boys have got to realise that.

We’ll have Ian Cruickshank back against his former side. I thought we missed his energy against Strathspey. (Alexander) Thoirs did well in the same role but apart from that there wasn’t many pass marks.

Banks O’ Dee came here last year and knocked us out and after our game against Strathspey Thistle I wouldn’t say who starts as favourites in this one.

We got the whole squad together for training on Monday to prepare for this tie and hopefully a different Huntly will turn up on the Wednesday night.
