A big welcome to everyone for only our second game of 2011 for what is to be a very tough game with Turriff United.

Turriff are flying and already this season, have had some success

given it’s only their second season in the Highland League. I felt that in the game at The Haughs back in October that 4-3 sounds like it was a tight game it was one of the poorer games I’ve been in charge of.

It’s frustrating stuff lately as every time we’ve went to prepare for a game we’ve ended up with a call-off and there was times that by 3pm on a Saturday that conditions had improved. I’m glad to have a home fixture today as we’ve been a far better side when we’ve played at Christie Park this season and I hope we’ll be able to prove that again today.

Paul YoungWith twelve games still to be re-arranged we’ve been hit worst with call-offs this season and Highland League clubs may be resigned to playing three times a week and some players may like that.

Peter-Alexander BruceWe recently managed to get Peter-Alexander Bruce and Paul Young on extended loans until the end of the season which is a big boost as they’ve been key players during their first loan spell up until early January and just this past week I got youngster Peter Douglas signed up to bolster the squad and give us a bit of depth with another to come in and it’ll be good experience for the youngsters and the young players will get their chance before the end of the season.

Goalkeeper Neil HastieNeil Hastie still remains on the transfer with a couple of clubs looking at him but no concrete offers are in place. There was a junior club interested but nothing came of it. Three keepers is a bit much for a club like ourselves but on the other hand it can be a bit of an insurance if anything happens to Ross Bremner or Gavin Robertson

Thanks for your continued support

Enjoy the game
