Andy Roddie saw his two newest recruits make a winning start to their Huntly careers following the 5-2 win over Deveronvale.

Neil McVittie (left) and Calvin Roddie (right) signed in the build-up to the game and the Huntly Co-Manager was pleased with the impact the pair made.

He said: “We know what Neil brings to the team; he’s got great quality and experience. He’s been out of the game for a wee bit and is lacking match fitness but that’ll come and we know we he can give us.

Calvin came on following a knock to Jordan (Morrice) and having coached him at Colony Park in the juniors we know what he can bring to the squad and he gives us that additional dimension in the wide areas having pace and the ability to take people on and that’ll create chances for the strikers.”
