The result against Turriff United last week was very disappointing following the huge improvement in performance the week before against Deveronvale. The first Turriff goal was a screamer and took the wind out of us when we had started the game well. We also had a good spell following Thoirs’ sending off but were hit twice on the break when we were outnumbered. We had decided to keep attacking when we went down to ten men and risk a heavier defeat. Unfortunately that's the way the match went and Turriff showed the importance of being ruthless when chances come along.

We are continuing to work hard in an attempt to turn the corner and that begins against Rothes. It would be great to perform at the same level as our last home match and carry some momentum into the semi-final at Inverurie on Wednesday night.

It is an uncertain time at the club at present but as players, we will continue to be professional and hopefully help build some positivity around the club for whoever gets the management position long term.

Enjoy the match,

Wicker

It’s another game to look forward to at Christie Park with another of the title contenders coming to visit. We acquitted ourselves well last weekend but shot ourselves in the foot on a couple of occasions and we are all aware that if we are to push on as a team this is the area that we must improve upon.

It was great to have Russell Guild come back in to the team last week. I felt that for the first fifteen minutes that he came on and we reshuffled with myself going back to right back we were well on top and I think everyone in the ground was confident that we would go on to secure a result. It will be a real boost to the team to see Guildy get minutes under his belt and start dictating games for us again.…

Welcome to our final match of the season against Nairn. This is a very difficult match to end what we can all appreciate has been quite a difficult season. I went to watch Nairn defeat Formartine last week and they were very impressive with Connor Gethins as usual stealing the show. In my opinion he is the best forward in the league and our defence will have to be switched on today to deal with him.

Last Saturday was a good way to bring confidence to the side in what was a surprisingly comfortable victory. I was unable to play in the match on Wednesday due to work commitments but hearing the score-line and seeing that Barney was sent off in the first half it seems like it was a strange old game!…

The defeat against Formartine on Monday night was probably the hardest result to take of the season. We had a strong side out on the pitch and just shot ourselves in the foot time and time again. We all made mistakes on the night but the most surprising aspect of the defeat was the lack of character that we showed.
