The defeat against Formartine on Monday night was probably the hardest result to take of the season. We had a strong side out on the pitch and just shot ourselves in the foot time and time again. We all made mistakes on the night but the most surprising aspect of the defeat was the lack of character that we showed.

{pullquote}to go down with such a lack of fight was frustrating.{/pullquote}This is largely the same squad that fought back from four-nil down against Inverurie at the beginning of the season and so to go down with such a lack of fight was frustrating.

Formartine seem to hold the voodoo sign over us at the moment but we will get stronger and next season we will match up against them much tighter.

Whether it’s Formartine or Fort William we are playing there needs to be a lot more dig and pride about ourselves and I think that’s the most important thing for us to focus on as the two game weeks start to build up again. We know we are not going to win the league but we certainly need to be getting into good habits before next season comes around.

It’s great to see Michael Hart sign for the club and he will be a great addition to help us turn things around. He can be the experienced head that can help us through difficult moments in matches and it’s a clear sign that we are moving in the right direction.

Enjoy the match,

Wicker
