Last Saturday was a good way to bring confidence to the side in what was a surprisingly comfortable victory. I was unable to play in the match on Wednesday due to work commitments but hearing the score-line and seeing that Barney was sent off in the first half it seems like it was a strange old game!

Today will be a very tough match with Brora really starting to fire on all cylinders. They have a lot of class in their side and I can see them being serious contenders next season. Arguably one of our best performances of the season was up at Brora when we dominated parts of the game despite having a man, rather harshly, sent off. They will allow us to play and it’s up to us to show what we can do.

After the match we will have Guildy’s testimonial dinner to look forward to which I am sure will be a success. There are not many players that make it to ten seasons with one club these days and I’m sure everyone agrees that he more than deserves this testimonial season. Being the last captain to lift the title for the club, I only wish that we had been able to deliver some silverware to mark it.

Enjoy the match,
