There has been some transfer activity today with a number of players heading in and out of the club.


kierandeyWinger Kieran Dey has been sold to Islavale just weeks after putting in a transfer request. Local lad Dey (20) made 8 squad appearances for the club last season before heading out on loan to the Keith-based junior side.

The 25 year old former Clachnacuddin player originally came to Huntly back in January on a short term deal after turning out for Buckie Thistle and will provide competition for Fraser Hobday for the number one shirt.

With a number of new signings into Christie Park this season there has been two players put out on loan to get some regular football.

Defender Connor Brian who signed last week after playing for Huntly Youth has secured a season long loan with fellow Highland League side Rothes. Brian (18) made his debut in Huntly’s final match of last season and could be set for his first Rothes appearance tomorrow in the North of Scotland Cup against Fort William.

thomasjohnstonAlso heading out on loan is Thomas Johnston. Johnston (18) who can play in midfield and attack has been with Huntly since the age of 16 scoring three times. Johnston has joined up with junior side Stonehaven who are currently managed by former Huntly coach Ian Esslemont.
