With one loan signing announced at the weekend, another has been confirmed with a further attacking option coming into the club.

Formartine United forward Max McGinlay has joined on loan for the season.

Max (19) featured for United’s under 20 last season and prior to that was a prolific scorer in Inverurie Loco Works’ youth development side. McGinlay may be a familiar name to Huntly supporters with his father, Dave having two spells as both a player and as a manager.

Max played and scored as a trialist in Saturday’s three nil win over Insch and Manager Allan Hale feels the signing can give his side a number of attacking options.

He said: “I am really pleased to welcome Max to the club on loan. Max has had a good grounding within the game coming through the youth system at Aberdeen and technically he is very sound.

Max is comfortable playing up front, behind the striker or wide therefore his versatility is important in terms of the options it provides us. We are looking forward to working with Max and seeing his development throughout his time with us.”
