Huntly have added to their squad today with one of the trialists who has turned out for the club in friendly matches earning a contract.

Former Cove Rangers forward Daniel Critchard (19) has joined on a one year contract after impressing during pre-season.

The teenager spent last season on loan with junior side Hall Russell United and Manager Allan Hale is pleased to add to his striking options after Critchard netted three goals in four friendly games.

He said: “Daniel is someone who has really impressed us during his time with us so far. He  is a young player & the first to admit he still has a lot to learn within the game but he has carried himself with an excellent attitude and shown a real willingness to do well and improve which will stand him well for the future.

He has pace, good technical attributes and a strong work ethic so I’m sure it’s a player that supporters will get behind when they are allowed the opportunity to see him in action.”
