Huntly have been handed a signing boost with three members of the squad agreeing contract extensions.

Midfield duo Cameron Booth and Ross Still and utility player Alexander Thoirs have all agreed new contract extensions to remain at Christie Park until summer 2021.

Former Keith and Inverurie Loco Works midfielder rossstillRoss Still (23) made his 75th appearance for the club in Saturday’s three-nil win at Turriff and has scored 14 goals in his three seasons in the black and gold.  His Manager Martin Skinner sees the new deal for Still as a great bit of business.

“Signing Stillie for another two years is a tremendous coup for us. He is a huge part of what we are trying to achieve here and will only get better and better for us. We also beat off some strong competition for his signature which shows how far we have come as a club.

We sat down when Ricky (Cheyne) and I took over and discussed where we wanted to go and how we wanted to play and we’ve found the right balance with Ross and Cammy as a midfield partnership.

Ross has weighed in with goals again this season will only get better for us.”

Manager Skinner was delighted to get Booth to extend his stay eleven months after he initially signed for the club.

“It’s also fantastic news that Cammy has also committed to the club. He has been one of the most consistent performers this year and has adapted to our new shape and style of play very well indeed Cammy is now showing us what he’s all about. Both he and Ross are getting on the ball more and the two of them are not scared to win tackles and help control games for us.”

“'We're delighted to have Alex signed on a new deal. He can play in a number of positions and brings tremendous enthusiasm to the squad and the club as a whole.

I played with Thoirs over my time at the club and his new deal will take him to ten years at Huntly which shows the commitment shown by both him and the club. We know he works offshore but when he is here he gives his all and he has shown he’ll do a job anywhere on the pitch for us.”
