Formartine United’s quest for a first Highland League title continued with a comfortable 5-1 win over Huntly.

After seeing his side concede three goals in a ten minute spell, Huntly Co-Manager Mark Gray felt it made for an uphill struggle for his side.

The Pitmedden side are currently unbeaten in their last 17 league fixtures and after seeing his side take the lead with three goals in a nine minute spell as Manager Kris Hunter admitted the timings of his side’s goals were important.

Hunter praised forward Neil Gauld who came in for a start and netted twice within the space of ninety seconds.
