Goals from full backs Lewis Davidson and Christopher Herd helped Turriff United to a two-nil win over Huntly in the Highland League Cup first round and set up a quarter-final tie away to Fraserburgh.

Having seen off Huntly for the second season running in the competition, Turriff United Manager Ross Jack admitted his side were more clinical than their opponents.

It’s now 11 games without a win for Huntly as Co-Manager Mark Gray felt they had chances to take the lead before falling behind to an early opener.
