Goals in either half saw Huntly edge out Fraserburgh in a 2-1 win and set up a quarter-final meeting at home to Highland League Cup holders Brora Rangers. Co-Manager Andy Roddie was pleased with his side’s current form as they made it four games unbeaten since taking over at the club.

Roddie also praised goalkeeper John Farquhar for his late penalty save which denied the visitors the chance to take the game to extra time.

Fraserburgh exited a cup competition at the hands of Huntly for the second time this season as Assistant Manager James Duthie gave praise to the opposition but was unhappy with a number of decisions which went against his side.

Not the worst draw
If we play like did at the Broch in the shield then we could have a good chance of making it through to the next round.
