Huntly came from behind to earn a draw in today’s friendly match against junior side Banchory Saint Ternan.

Huntly went into the fixture missing a number of players with Logan Johnstone, Glenn Murison, Nicholas Gray and Lewis Ifi all unavailable. Cory Ritchie, Paul Esslemont, Matthew McDonald and Neale Davidson all came into the starting eleven. The game had a personal rivalry added to it with Huntly Assistant Manager Ricky Cheyne going up against his son Liam who started at left back for Banchory.…

Glentanar 0 Huntly 7 (Friendly Match)

Forward Nicholas Gray (pictured) bagged a hat-trick as Huntly eased past junior side Glentanar their opening friendly match with a seven-nil away win.

David Booth was ruled out through injury while new signings Logan Johnstone, Reece McKeown and Paul Esslemont were all included in the squad. There was a return to action for Neale Davidson who was on the subs bench.
Glentanar fielded Lewis Beattie and Robbie Paul after the two youngsters were released from Huntly at the start of the week.…

Huntly 1 Wick Academy 0 (Breedon Highland League)

Huntly ended the season on a six game unbeaten run following a one-nil win at home to Wick Academy.

Huntly were without the injured Alexander Jack while his namesake Thoirs was also ruled out after limping off in last week’s draw with Formartine United. Wick were struggling for numbers as they came to Christie Park with a squad of fifteen players with six of those being trialists.…

Huntly finished in the top half of the table for the first time since 2009/10 with an impressive defensive display in a goal-less draw with Formartine United

Huntly were without the suspended David Booth, the absent Cameron Booth while Alexander Jack was struggling with a knock and had to drop down onto the bench as Alexander Thoirs and Matthew McDonald came into the starting eleven. Huntly recorded a third straight home win as Martin Skinner’s side maintained a push for a top half finish with a 3-1 win over Buckie Thistle.

Huntly had Cameron Booth missing through family commitments and Blair Johnston ending a run of 43 consecutive starts due to illness as Alexander Jack and Aidan Sopel came in for starts with Alexander Thoirs and Cory Ritchie added to the bench.
