The Edinburgh side took the lead in the third minute when defender Paul Thomson rose to head from a free kick.

Three minutes later the visitors attacked again from a set piece and Christopher Townsley headed home.

Huntly started coming into the game late on in the first half. In the 35th minutes a speculative from Paul Napier went narrowly over the bar. With three minutes of the half remaining a low drive from Elliot Duff was turned behind courtesy of a fingertip save from Blair Carswell.
