 Summary

Huntly fell to their third straight away defeat as they failed to register a single shot on target in a two-nil loss at Brora.

The Cattach’s welcomed back goalkeeper Joseph Malin, Scott Houston, Scott Graham and Steven Mackay while defender Colin Williamson was ruled out through injury. Huntly were without captain Gary McGowan after he was stretchered off against Nairn County one week before as Ian Cruickshank started for the first time since 27th October.

The hosts threatened early when a Scott Graham header was deflected over after two minutes. Fifteen minutes later, Alexander Sutherland blazed over after Sean Webb sliced a clearance.

The deadlock was broken midway through the half when the hosts gained possession in midfield and winger Andrew Greig got forward to net with a low drive into the far post.

Huntly came close late on in the half with their first goal attempt when a dangerous long throw from David Donald was headed by the post by Ross Still.

Just before the hour mark, Sutherland cut in from the right win forcing John Farquhar into a save.

Goalscorer Greig turned provider in the 65th minute when his cross from the left was met by the unmarked Kyle Macleod to head into the far post.

Four minutes later, Michael Clark curled over from a long distance shot after a throw was not dealt with.

Further chances came for the hosts when Sutherland fired wide from a free kick while Martin MacLean saw a header turned round the post by Farquhar late on.
