The last few games have been a mixture of results and performances. After a massive effort to get the Cup game on the boys really played well and deserved to be playing today’s tie.

On the back of the broch game we went into the Cove midweek game with confidence but apart from the route one football they played some cracking football and were far too good for us. Clach away last Saturday was a dire game to watch in pretty awful conditions. A great last minute goal from Robbie gave us a point and maybe it was a fair result.

On Wednesday we were treated to a cracking advert for Highland League football. I'm sure those who went maybe expected the same as we did versus Cove but it was night and day.

Great to see Mcgoo back scoring goals and it was one of the worst Formartine teams I have saw at Huntly. For the money spent on players, why they continue with 70% route one football is anybody's guess. It was awful not to get three points but would we have taken one before we kicked off?

One thing that has stuck out at these recent games was the display of certain managers. Three out of four spoken to by the man in the middle, some more than once. Passion yes, but these guys have been an embarrassment to their clubs and the league. It needs to be stamped out for the good of the game. If you spend thousands upon thousands on players and can’t get them to play.....maybe you are in the wrong job.
