Huntly football club are taking steps to help re-establish its supporters club as one of the best supported in the Highland league with a number of new initiatives, and plans to use the clubs AGM as the platform to promote this.

In announcing the move, club Chairman George Clark confirmed the club are committed to ensuring the supporters who give so much to the club also receive rewards for their loyalty.

“The board of the club have noted dwindling numbers in terms of membership of the supporters club and recognise that over the last few years the results on the park have not been at a level to generate the support that was so prevalent during our golden 5 in a row period. However we are convinced that we shall start to see a positive improvement on the park in the coming months and that on its own should encourage either new members or those that might have given up, returning to support their team.

Our company secretary Andrew Stokes was a keen, active member of the supporters club prior to joining the board and was keen the club try wherever we can to provide new impetus to the group and he and I have spent some time meeting the club with a view to providing a new benefits package that will reward supporter participation. I think we have come up with some exciting ideas as a starting point with a view to further enhancing it as we go forward. I would encourage all existing members, plus past and new members to come along to the AGM and hear all about the all new members benefit package.”

The AGM will be held at 2pm at the Huntly FC social club this Sunday the 25th of June.
